We finally had our first meeting on February 8, 2008! So many months of work and planning finally allowed us to become a university recognized club and set up our first official meeting. The turn out was great. Students were excited and ready to be part of the club.
The meeting began by the founders and officers of the club introducing themselves. Then club president Andrew Hamilton talked about the club's purpose, activities and general membership info. Professor Mark Farquhar joined the discussion and students were able to ask questions and add their suggestions. It was a great start, everyone seemed very positive, excited and committed to being a part of the club.
What a success!
